The location, the comfortable bed, the quality of the sheets, the pillows and pretty much everything.
The staff are super nice and really take care of you. I love the fact that they had a restaurant below with an amazing wine list, and the views are to die for. Breakfast was full of lots of cakes and other alternatives. A family owned property and relaxing environment.

Montalcino is a quiet hill town that we love returning to often. We love walking all around town. A 4 hour hike gets you to Sant' Antimo Abbey and then you can take the bus back to town. We love eating at Il Moro and at Osteria di Porta al Cassero as well as Re di Macchia. Great town at the winter holidays!

We stayed in Montalcino two nights, which was about right for people who like wine but aren’t fanatics. Drove all over, got lost, went to Montepulciano (very crowded, steep and hard to get to—was very glad we stayed in Montalcino instead!) enjoyed the Abbey de Sant Altimo south of town, not overrun by people.

If you wish to visit Tuscany, Montalcino is the ideal place to stay. It's a lovely, attractive village with plenty of places to eat and drink. This region also has a lot of good restaurants. It is nevertheless quite close to other important towns and sites that are far more touristic, so I would recommend this area if you want to have a lot of options without being in the most touristic and busy locations around.

Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants.
Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants. Right in the best wine area in Italy. You will love it! Re di Macchia Restorante was so good. The best Florentine steak we ever had. Good prices and the owner Antonio gave us round after round of free Limincello and grappa. He is the best!!!!
The proprietor and host - Simone, couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. He was a real highlight of our visit. The room was rustic (as expected of an agriturismo), large and very clean. There was ample parking. We ordered the picnic basket for dinner (supper) after a long day of travel, and it was fantastic - cooked by Mom! We did the wine tasting on-site, and it is well worth the 18€. Naturally, we also left with a few bottles of excellent Brunello di Montalcino. We would definitely stay here again.
The place is wonderful. All the people
Are very polite and helpful. We had the feeling that they are doing their best to make our stay special. At the beginning I was a little bot afraid due to some negative reviews. I was so wrong! The hotel is great, with clean and nice pool, the breakfast was fresh and tasty. Our room was big and clean with the view which we will never forget. Great location, near to the restaurants. We have spent great time with our 2 dogs. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay here while we spent 2 nights in Montalcino, everything was perfect. We had a view of the fortress and rolling Tuscan hills.
Breakfast was served next door with lots of options and very tasty.
All the staff were very friendly.
We did a tour at the Tassi winery owned by the hotel which was amazing, Sara was very knowledgeable and made it a brilliant experience for us.
We would definitely come back to stay here again. Montalcino is a lovely town, my favourite in Tuscany!
When we pulled up, we were in absolute awe of this location. Very majestic on a hill top over looking the endless fields for miles and miles. Out of all the hotels we stayed at in Italy, this is one we treasured the most. The ancient walls with a modern convenience were more than we expected. Some reviewers mentioned the dinning being pricy but you truly get what you pay for. Dinner was impeccable with an amazing view so it was very much with it. Book this place, you won’t regret it.
The place is amazing!! We recommend it and are already planning to come back :). The place is inside the old center of Montalcino, it has a beautiful decoration, good size room, very clean and AMAZING breakfast. There are water, juice and small snack available for the guests. The hotel itself is already really good and the owner and his wife are really a plus. They were very friendly, helpful and made us to feel like home. Thanks very much for the experience.
Dreamlike area, wonderful surroundings. Immediately around the hotel things are sparse but if you are interested in wine country this is an excellent place to visit. Having the spa to ourselves was like a dream and so relaxing!!! The restaurant was lovely! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating!!! They did everything they did to make us feel welcome and try to meet our every request!
What a beautiful hotel just outside of Montalcino! We enjoyed lounging by the pool after a day of driving and wine tasting, and even had a small terrace off our room. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and beautifully lighted from the outside. The breakfast options were the best that we encountered on our three-week trip in Italy.
a typical tuscany house with a rustic feel, located in the heart of Montalcino with many restaurants and bars in walking distance, our room offered spectacular views, even from the bathroom, no parking possibility near the premises, it is a Z.T.L (zona traffico limitato), you can access by car within a specified timeframe to drop off and pick up the luggage
Villa Le Prata was an amazing experience for anyone who wants an intimate location with unbelievable staff that made you feel like you were home!!The wine, food and Staff were outstanding!! Tomasso was unbelievably attentive from our first hour at the Villa until we left 5 days later….Incredible!!!!! Anna and the rest of the staff all receive 5 stars….
Good location.
Old building maintained well and kept in the classic style..which is good. Had everything I needed.
Clean and comfortable. A/C worked.
Owners kind and helpful.
The hotel restaurant ( dinner only) is very good. Good wine selection.
They parked my car for $5.00!
I enjoyed my stay. I slept in so I missed breakfast. Can’t comment.
Beautiful architecture and incredible rooms. The hotel is a cozy paradise in the middle of Toscana. The staff (Karla and Giulia) were incredibly nice and tried to accommodate most of our needs. They let us check in early (around noon), but highly recommend everyone else to try to stick to their 4pm check in time.
Absolutely everything! The staff was welcoming, warm and professional in any extend.
Great location up the hill with a wonderful view and a beautiful space around the hotel. Our daughter was playing outside without any supervision.
Calm and serenity! We will definitely come back next year!
Lovely hotel with a stunning view. It was like being in the clouds. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool staring at the view. Nice continental breakfast with lots of choice, good coffee and friendly staff.
There is some limited parking but the turning in isn’t for the faint-hearted.
Breakfast was good, location very good. Pay car park available right across from hotel, but even better, we were given a “permit” to park free about 300 meters from hotel after you off-load luggage. So many good restaurants and fun things to see and do.
We had a great time at beautiful hotel of Sara and Michele. Nicely decorated room and great location just one minute away from one of the best restaurants of Montalcino. The homemade breakfast was delicious. We can’t wait to visit again!
One our favorite stays in Italy. Welcoming staff, great breakfast, awesome setting in middle of a vineyard. Comfortable stay and spacious rooms. Strongly recommend.
