My locker was broken for the entirety of my stay and on my second day my keycard unfortunately stopped working, it was easily fixed when I went to reception but I know many people experienced this issue.

Great location, comfortable rooms. The bar next door offered discounts for hostel travellers and the food there was great. People were nice.

3 beds on top of each other its too much, I wasn't able to be seated on my bed. it had no kitchen facilities, I had some food to throw it away and a pot to wash, i had to do it on the bathroom sink.

good location, clean bed sheets, the bar/restaurant next door very convenient

No sanitary bins in any of the toilet cubicles, have to be carrying used pads to dispose in the general bin in the common area. It’s also extremely noisy at all times. Doors are slammed constantly in every direction at all hours, and even if someone tries to open/close them quietly, all hinges are so squeaky that it makes no difference. The fire safety light on the ceiling is enormous and too bright if you’re assigned the top bunk, you’d need a pretty good eye mask and noise cancelling headphones to get any sleep.

The location is fantastic and the bar/restaurant partnership is very handy with the deals and discounts. Staff is also very pleasant and helpful.

For longers stay we would have missed a kitchen or a lounge place where to eat our own food. They only offer a bar next door. Showers also a bit small with no way to keep you clothes dry from the shower spray, but one can always figure something else out. All doors close with a bang, that was a bit noisy. Need your own lock for the bag crates unde the bed, but at least there are crates...

The beds are good, sturdy. You can actjally sleep in them without feeling every move the person above you makes. Also good was airconditioning in the room, otherwise would have been really stuffy. Location is very good, right next to the royal mile and if you take a tram or a bus from the airport then you don't have to lug all your big bags up a mountain. It is right next to train station, our windows was facing it, but that wasn't a bother at all, the bathroom doos made a lot more noice as they were right behind the door.

No dry place to change your clothes at after showers.

Relatively clean for shared living spaces. The water pressure in the showers was very good. Had pretty much everything I needed (bed and charging port.)

Had to pay to rent towels. Once returned get £2 pound back out of £6.

Property is in a superb location, close to all attractions, train and bus station. It is cleaned very regularly and bedrooms feel comfortable with baskets for bags and curtains for beds. It comes with great discounts to the pub across the road.

The hostel doesn’t really have a communal area. It has a small room in the lobby but it gets super crowded. My room also backed onto the bathrooms and the noise from the toilet/showers was quite loud at night - although maybe not all rooms have this problem.

Amazing location - just a stone’s throw from the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, the train station, shops, bars, etc. The staff were also very friendly.

This does not apply directly to the hostel, but rather to the people who stay there. Showers and toilets are located in the center of the building and there are rooms around them, when someone takes a very noisy shower, this can interfere with sleep. It would be nice if somewhere it was written at what time of day the lights in the room cannot be turned on, since in our room I was woken up a couple of times by the neighbors turning on the lights at one in the morning. The drawers under the bed are loud enough that if someone needs to leave early in the morning, it will be difficult not to wake up the neighbors. There are no locks on the boxes; you need to bring them with you or buy them at the reception. Only one access card to the hostel and room is issued per booking. But you can take more for an additional fee. Our cards were demagnetized almost every day and we had to go to the next building to change them.

Location is really good. Bed was comfortable and each bed had a curtain, own light and socket. The drawers under the beds are large enough, it was comfortable to use even one for two.

Cool wee hostel, staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent! The only thing that I would comment on is that there was no communal area in the building across the road from the main reception building.

The showers were really small and you don’t have anywhere to put your things so everything gets wet. There is a lounge with microwave and hot water but o my in one of the buildings so you have to leave the building to fill up your water bottle.

The location is amazing. The beds are comfortable and have curtains. There is a microwave available.
