No bin in the room, one flat pillow and the rooms were quite warm. Didn't really bother us as we only slept there and then ventured out again but it is notable.

The car park and location is great and very reasonable for the price. Staff were helpful, and someone was available 24/7.

We stayed during the fringe festival in August and was exactly what we needed - a comfy, clean, bed. The facilities aren’t fancy but it is very comfortable and great value for money when you look at the prices of other accommodation during the month of august in Edinburgh. The staff were lovely and helpful and the location was great, there is a bus stop only 5 minutes walk away that will bring you straight into the city.

The light in the bathroom was faulty and kept rapidly flashing on and off every time the bathroom door was opened - showering and using the loo felt like being stuck in a rave! Bed was small and not the comfiest but for the price it was fine.

Really welcoming staff, clean room, access to kitchen with all the necessary cutlery etc. Decent location for the price (15-ish minutes drive/taxi into the city centre but also walkable) considering how pricey everywhere else is during the Fringe.

Cheaper than hotels, basic services, centrally located (short bus ride to old town) Two large stores close by. Serveral cafes serving breakfast short walk away. car park. Staff were helpful and friendly.

It was impossible to open the window properly. It was a hot summer day, and the room temperature during the night was unbearable. Had it been possible to open the window properly, it would have been very pleasant.

Staying in a student room (in a flat of 5 rooms) worked really well. It was clean, the en-suite was good, shower good. There is a kitchen in the flat where you can store and cook food which saved money on buying expensive coffees in the morning. This is basic accommodation, but suited our needs just right. Check in staff really helpful.

Got a bit warm but was fine with window cracked. Could be a bit confusing finding the right door at first (doors within doors with the same numbers). No room around the bed, but fine for one person just to sleep (and plenty of storage space).

It was great - comfortable, clean and modern and 20 minutes or so walking distance from the Fringe. Great value for money during the Fringe. Lots of space on desk and shelving for all my stuff. Bathroom was a bit small but they always are in the UK! Right near a Lidl, which was also great, although obviously no fridge in room.

The location of the accommodation is a walkable distance to the city centre and there are also shops,bars and restaurants that are close by.

Could be doing with a TV and location not great if you are not a good walker as it is at the bottom of a very steep hill. Windows don't open so room was a bit like a greenhouse with the sun beating right in it.

The kitchen wasn't even equipped with basic stuff. No plates, no cutlery, two pots. I imagined "self-catering" to mean that these would be included.

Nice little student residence room with shared kitchen. Nothing luxurious but enough to comfortably stay for a week.

Not that close to a convenient bus route, and a bit of a walk from the centre of town. Completely achievable though.
