How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I wished there was coffee available until noon. Oftentimes it was empty. We were in a wheelchair accessible room and after the shower, water was all over the bathroom floor afterward. There must be a better way to avoid this
The breakfast was great. The rooms were spacious and clean, bed was comfortable and I liked the down pillows. Liked the adults only time in the hot tub. The lobby was modern and inviting. The staff were professional and friendly.

Location was pretty much close to everything! This establishment will be my go to hotel in the future when I stay over at Edmonton.

They should not put clients on floor that is under construction especially with children.
I love their breakfast and cleanliness of the hotel. The floor we were was under construction but we barely hear anything.

Cash deposit is $500 despite the website stating $250. Good thing we had extra funds on hand. Very dirty lobby furniture. I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t get locked out of my floor several times because you needed your room key to go up the elevator. Staff accused me of trying to sneak my pet in our room despite calling the hotel directly after making reservations and requesting a pet friendly room. Rooms could also use more deep cleaning.
Great location. Newer hotel with modern amenities and a fantastic pool/ hot tub area . Great for traveller’s that don’t believe in credit cards. Fantastic breakfast! Beds are comfortable. No extra cot needed due to sofa bed in room!

Breakfast time could have been extended by half an hour. The current time for weekdays was 630am-930am, would be nice to have it extended to 10am. We were at the hotel on vacation and would have appreciated not having to rush in the mornings like we normally do at home.
Overall everything was great, this was the second time we stayed at the Hyatt and services were as expected. The breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of selection. The pool was great, very clean and my kids enjoyed it.

The pool seemed not the cleanest. There was no towels available. Cleanliness of dishes were not the best, some utensils and cups dirty, but there was plenty to pick from.

After a long drive from Calgary, We arrived at 2:50pm in the location. We were greeted by the front desk agent with a stone faced attitude. There was No Welcome or any Hi. I approached the lady, saying we have a reservation for the night. She asked for my ID, then she narrated the hotel policy, only she could understand. I could only say Okay. I bet she’s tired for the day, but if she’s knew where we drove from, she’d know that we’re very tired too. A full customer service class refresher could help the lady succeed on her job, if not she’s won’t be any good.
I like the room, it’s spacious and well lit. The pool is well maintained plus the breakfast buffet serves variety of delicious food

It would have been nice to know in advance that the lobby and lounge were undergoing renovations as we had looked forward to having food and cocktails in the evening.

No microwave in room . No printed guest information book in room or TV instructions. There is a sticker on the desk to scan for that information. Unfortunately, not everyone has the means to do this. The pool is very small for the size of the hotel as well.
Nice ambiance, clean rooms , good complimentary breakfast variety, and location was awesome.
