Wander along the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval city of Tallinn and marvel at the fashion forward culture existing comfortably alongside tradition.
14th century church spires wind their way into the sky on top of the Toompea hill which rises in the centre of town. Outside the city walls modernity reveals itself through soviet-style concrete buildings and contemporary glass skyscrapers.
A multitude of shopping opportunities are available especially along Viru Street, with several rising Estonian designer boutiques side by side with traditional crafts of woven fabrics, pottery and glass blowing. The café culture abounds and visitors can soak up the friendly atmosphere between purchases. Restaurants on the colourful Raekoja Plats offer a chance to try traditional Estonian fare.
Situated on the Gulf of Finland, a popular day trip is by boat to Helsinki. With a location so close to the water, the sandy beaches are a popular summer destination for locals and visitors alike. In the winter the beauty of buildings such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is hard to beat.
With over 60 self-catering apartments and hotels available on Booking.com, you can live like a king in this pretty Estonian capital.
Tallinn is perfect destination for families with kids.
Tallinn is perfect destination for families with kids. It has probably most beautiful Old Town. Really good to spend a day just by walk around. There was ice ring near Niguliste church. Cool, but quite expensive.
We walked from Old Town to Proto Invention factory. Long way, but super cool streets to walk trough. If You have kids - Proto is a must go place.
Another great place for kids is Super Skypark at T1 shopping centre. We spent another day around there.
In Old Town there are lots of restaurants to choose from. We wanted to try out medieval atmosphere at the 3 Dragons. Did not get, what was expected. Too expencive and too little food, and too small place.

I have never really heard of Tallinn as a destination city.
I have never really heard of Tallinn as a destination city. I have to say I was very impressed by the city and I really had a lot of fun. Their cuisine is very nice and their sauna/cold dipping was a really interesting activity to try. I did not have time to see their natural reserves, but they definitely looked like a nice area to visit. All the city highlights are worth visiting and it was really easy to get around, either by bus/tram or walking.

Tallinn is worth the visit from spring to autumn, but probably skip it in winter unless you're a glutton for cold and darkness.
Take the tours or do some research before you come because there's a lot to Tallinn and Estonian history that's very cool to experience and not immediately apparent. It's not like other old towns where all the historical spots are always clearly marked.
And if you go for business there are any number of (usually high-tech-related) conferences, expos, etc. Estonia is in the top 5 countries for business unicorns! Make sure to visit if that's your thing.

The old town architecture, churches and museums were plentiful and very interesting. Most museums charge so it is worth considering getting a Tallinn Card.
If you are going to visit several. Walking the cobbled streets was a very pleasant experience. The TV tower and botanical gardens are well worth a visit and are just a 20 minute bus ride away. The public transport is plentiful, quick and efficient. There is also the possibility of day trips by train to Vartu and ship to Helsinki.

The old town is rather touristy, but stunningly beautiful.
The old town is rather touristy, but stunningly beautiful. Even as a European I was swept away by the medieval character.
The Rottermann quarter is absolutely striking in its juxtaposition of the old and ultra-modern.
The town is very walkable, if you want to visit the top attractions. For anything else, we opted for a Bolt rite, which was always around 5 EUR.
Museums are generally very good - interesting modern, a well-equipped.
We enjoyed the Peppersack restaurant in the old town - even though it is very touristy, the food was solid, and the atmosphere very pleasant. The same is tru for the III Draakon Medieval-style tavern.
I went running every morning. It felt very safe, and in less than an hour I could enjoy the Old Town, Rottermann quarter and the Kalamaja seaside district including the outdoor exposition of the Maritime museum.

Great for a mini break over the Chrissy period.
Great for a mini break over the Chrissy period.
Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the old town, and all the little streets and lane ways/alleys.
Not far from the sprawling expansion of the growing city around it in the event you need some last minute essentials
Felt safe as a solo female traveller at all times .
Love an historical city walk and there are plenty to see and do in tallinn.
Roomy apartment with separate bedroom, small kitchen area, and large futon to accommodate more guests.
Self service key entry makes it easy to arrive anytime and staff was helpful very easy to contact thru Booking Messenger emails.
The building is nicely located between the airport and main tourist areas and right on major bus routes.
Excellent price considering the size and location of the apartment and the building has significant historic interest as a home to past prominent Estonian composers.
Having a clean private space for the cost of a Youth Hostel shared room.
The location is nice and very near a tramstation and a trainstation. Making it easy to travel to the Old Town, the airport and the central station. So it is a easy overnight place if you want to take a flight, go to Tallinn or travel around the rest of Estonia.
Also the nearby Ars House is a very nice creative hub to visit with its videogame museum and multiple art galleries.
Second time in this hotel and again we stayed satisfied. Thank you very much for a small present🥰 It was delicious! Spa was great, comfy beds, balcony (i can imagine how great it is to drink a glass of wine on it), breakfast - one of the best in Tallin! Nothing is missing.
If only there were a coffe machine in the room it would the best hotel in Tallin!:)
Thank you again from our family and see you very soon!
The best hotel in Europe 🇪🇺 🙌. Exceptional, excellent and outstanding service. 5 🌟
The staff are world class!
The rooms are excellent and modern. The bathroom was exquisite. Room lighting was on point. Entertainment was great.
Spa and gym were fit for purpose.
Breakfast was top class. The rooftop bar and restaurant on the 24th floor was the icing on an already delicious cake!
The hotel was beautifully decorated, the room was very spacious and clean. The location wasn't bad with public transport near to the hotel to take you into old town. Bolt is excellent in Tallinn and it's cheap, would highly recommend using Bolt to travel around. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
For my visit to Bern Boutique Hotel, I booked a suite with a sauna. The room was very spacious and the decor was nice, with exposed wooden beams in the ceiling. The jacuzzi tub and sauna were a perfect treat against the cold weather in Tallinn in March. I did not have breakfast in the hotel.
The very best location in the very center of the city if you are traveling for pleasure and want to see Tallinn. Breakfasts were absolutely outstanding: very cozy restaurant in the main building, excellent food and variety, long hours (till 11). Not every 5 stars hotel has such perk.
The apartment layout, decor, felt like a 5 star hotel. The location is very near the old town (bolt taxi 5 EUR approx).
Very clean, my room had an Instax camera we could use to take a few pics and they provided a shopping bag (go green). All in all a very happy experience.
Location is perfect to reach the ferry terminal in less than 10 minutes. Underground car parking is also perfect when outside temperature flirts with -15 and less.
Less than 10 minutes by foot from the old center too, It is one of the best hotels in Tallinn.
I often come to Tallinn but this was my first time in this hotel and it was really great! The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. And the spa (swimming pool and saunas) - one of the best I have encountered so far in the hotels.
The best hotel I've ever been in! My dogs were welcomed by everybody. Super easy access to the room in the middle of the night - late check in. Delicious and varied breakfast. PERFECT!
Love the idea of nameing hotel after dog - HEKTOR <3
Absolutely new, fresh, modern design. Cozy beds and pillows.
Self check in.
Great breakfast (not buffet, menu), very good size if portions, really beautiful and tasty, one of the best hotel breakfasts.
Just few minutes walk from center.
The hotel is located near the airport, we stayed here because we had a very early flight and needed easy access to the airport and the hotel delivered. Parking was convenient and easy, and the staff very helpful.
Ideal option to explore Tallinn. Hotel is located in old town. Nice and quite room and excellent breakfast buffet. Nice and profesional staff. Public parking place within 5 mins walk.
