What a charming village, with several other similarly charming villages within short driving distances. We had a great time in Eguisheim and met several people who make this village an annual pilgrimage, and its easy to see why.

Eguisheim offers many wine merchants, Gruss is our favourite - located just opposite Auberge Alsacienne. A number of good restaurants are available. We highly recommend Le Pavillon Gourmand at 101 Rue de Rempart Süd. and their set menus. Walks in the surrounding area should be taken.

Step outside your hotel into a real life fairy tale town of Beauty & the Beast! Wonderful little shops: bakeries, Alsatian wines, and meat markets. Be sure to make dinner reservations ahead of time as by 6:30 most restaurants were full and several hosts were very nasty - a French arrogance we’ve encountered in a few other places where there are tables available, but they won’t seat you. Maybe ask your hotel to call & make reservations for you, especially if you only speak English.

I stayed in Eguisheim about 3 years ago when walking with a friend. It is a really quaint little town with plenty of restaurants, shops and wineries for tasting and purchasing. This time I was with my niece and her friend - so no walking! We ate one night at "Au Vieux Porche" which is very good. Need to book and not open Tuesday or Wednesday. Also enjoyed "Le Caveau des Douceurs" Most of the Cranes had left for Africa but they keep a pair in the Crane Park so we could see them up close. Also had an interesting visit to the castle on the hill. But I suppose the most enjoyable aspect was the wine degustations. Unfortunately these did not leave us much time to make use of the pools.

Lovely village, a real pearl in Alsace.
Lovely village, a real pearl in Alsace. Close to Colmar and many other attractions, it is worth a trip on itself.
Dining out will require booking in advance during the tourist season.
Many visitors, but never crowded, retains the atmosphere of a real living village.

Eguisheim is a fantastic alsacian village with a lot to see any many excellent wineries. It is also close to Colmar which is well worth a visit. A full day for Colmar and at least a half day for Eguisheim is needed. Many additional interesting wine villages are close by.
Very, very, very accomodating owners. I've traveled with a backpack and walked from Colmar to Eguisheim (because why not). They offered me a lift back to Colmar for the next day. They also provided a very thorough wine tasting, despite it being clear that I wouldn't be able to bring any wine home.
The room was fantastic, too. Reasonably spacious, super clean, and an excellent bathroom.
The B&B is also conveniently placed next the Aux Vieux Porche, maybe Eguisheims best restaurant.
We spent 1 unforgetable week at this cosy and very comfortable house, during last Autumn holidays.
The house is fully equiped, even with the most little details which you would not expect. The location is perfect, located at a pedestrian street, at the old town center of Eguisheim.
We highly recommend this house for a visit with the family or a small group of friends.
The owners are also very attentive and friendly.
Property was also a vibrant restaurant (tarte flambé) with great, friendly service. Location in centre of Eguisheim could not have been better. Plenty of shops/wine cellars in the town offering a fine selection of local produce. Private parking was a couple of minutes walk from the property and provided ease of access to drive to nearby locations if required.
Very cosy and quite hotel, close from Eguisheim center but in the vineyard.
Breakfast was great, with local food (a delicious almond bread from a nearby bakery!), and you have the view on the pool and the surrounding nature.
A garage is accessible for bikes as well, with a pump and a bike stand if repairs are needed.
I will come back for sure !
Eguisheim is such a cute and typical village, and this B&B was at the heart of the town. Location is great, parking is provided and the property is newly renovated yet keeping the charm of this heritage building. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is also a wine domain so you can also do tastings on site. Such a lovely stay
Very comfortable bed and room (a firm bed which I very much prefer), welcoming proprietors, and hearty food in the restaurant. Perhaps this is obvious to most people, but reservations really must be made for the restaurant ahead of time, as is the case in most of France. I didn't realize that, but they were still able to find me a table.
This hotel is absolutely fantastic we loved every minute of our 7 day stay. Friendly staff, everywhere immaculately clean, spa/pool brilliant facility, bar meals 👍👍. Well situated for exploring the Alsace. All in all we had a perfect stay. We flew to Basel from Manchester Airport, it was only a 30 minute drive to the hotel
Clean, well-equipped, charming apartment in an ideal location in Eguisheim. The owners were kind, even helping with luggage. The apartment also has a designated parking space a little walk away from the pedestrian street we stayed on. The view of the storks on the steeple was a thrill. Window views of the village are sublime.
Authentic house with modern cosy design , the kitchen and the house are super equipped and comfortable , having three levels and a basement . a lot of space for family of 5. location is in the historical heart of beautiful Alsace village - very comfortable for short trips around
Everything from the friendliness and helpfulness of the management and staff to cleanliness and beautifully decorated rooms to the delicious and fresh breakfast to central location of the property. I will stay in this hotel many times over if I could!
Loved the location close to the lovely village of Eguisheim. Easy walk to numerous wine cellars and restaurants.
Pool and sunbathing area good but i imagine it will be busy with children in the height of summer.
Nice balcony area.
Excell position, right outside the walls. friendly and helpful staff. Bike parking available. The hotel is an excellent option: good value at reasonable price
