Reception staff were highly professional, attentive and friendly. Managers fantastic. Loved the sea view through port hole style window. Gorgeous decor & bathroom facilities & toiletries excellent quality. Housekeeping second to none. Friendly & efficient. We dined in twice, both very enjoyable meals. Live music over weekend added bonus. Location second to none, on elegant hill surrounded by historical Villa & lighthouse on top. Easy downhill walk to town & beaches. We found a couple of great bars & bakeries close by. Husband & son used the basement gym and we all loved the pool terrace. Nice boutique shop next to it and there is a Spa. Parking available although we didn’t use. Taxi from airport about €40 but not a long journey. Bus to Anglet and Bayonne five mins away. Very reasonable & we took 5 bus back to airport.
The hotel is located in central Biarritz, near the Palais des Festivals, the casino and the local beaches. Guests are invited to use the heated outdoor swimming pool.

Cite de l'Ocean was an amazing VR experience, we had a joint ticket with the Aquarium which was also good. You could easily spend half a day at Cite de l'Ocean. Biarritz has some grand buildings and would have great views on a sunnier day. The view from the lighthouse is stunning, so worth the climb. We enjoyed the Musee Asiatique, everywhere we visited catered well for British visitors. Buses were easy to use, we found lots of great Basque restaurants.

Biarritz has long enjoyed a reputation for glamour and...
Biarritz has long enjoyed a reputation for glamour and monied high-class living. Many of the shops certainly cater for this sort of visitor, but there were plenty of what might be termed 'ordinary' tourists, who could enjoy the stunning vistas and beautiful locations along the coast. Don't miss the Port Des Pecheurs.
It is very easy to achieve a day trip to San Jean De Luz by using the (exceptionally cheap and easy to use) local bus service (Txik Txak) that operates in the region.
The town never felt overrun, nor underused. The beaches are very clean and well managed. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, with prices for every pocket.
Also, the footprint of Biarritz is pretty compact so that those without mobility issues are able to explore and spend time in the well-ordered shopping locations, the public gardens and the cafes and restaurants.
A special mention for the beautifully turned out (covered) market: well worth a visit and a stop for coffee, pastries or crepes.
Finally, the ocean creates great conditions for surfing, an activity clearly enjoyed by the locals as well as visitors.
Brilliant location for exploring all areas of Biarritz. The hotel recommended restaurants for us in advance via a survey and we ate every night somewhere they suggested - I definitely recommend following their advice. The staff were all so lovely and accommodating. You can rent beach equipment from the reception if you’re heading down for the day. The rooms are small - it’s worth reading the other reviews, but it didn’t impact our stay in what turned out to be a fantastic hotel. Highly recommend!
The people in this hotel are so nice and lovely, they deserve 10 stars out of 5.
This is a nice clean apartment in the very first row of buildings on the beach. It has a great view on the ocean, the beautiful lighthouse and another very pretty hotel in Biarritz. The mattress is very soft and one can fall sleep to the sound of the waves. All of the shops are close by as this is a very central location next to the Hermes store.
This is a magical hotel, with tasteful appointments and thoughtful staff. Every detail was treated with care. The rooftop terrace for a wine rest was unexpected. I look forward to another visit! Our family of two adults and two teenagers enjoyed the morning breakfast with excellent coffee and homemade breads. Each member of the staff helped us with taxis, restaurant reservations, and touring suggestions.
The proprietors were extremely welcoming and helpful. There was always someone on hand to advise and talk about the attractions of Biarritz. The hotel was very clean and had been beautifully renovated. the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was copious, very fresh and tasty. excellent selection. Delicious home made cakes added to the breakfast delights. would recommend.
This was a well maintained hotel that was close to the beaches of Biarritz popular with surfers and about a 30 minute walk to the centre of Biarritz. My room was clean and spacious with a premium bathroom and a nice view of the Bay of Biscay. There was ample parking for my rent a car at no extra charge. The only downside was that my room didn’t have a mini fridge.
Located right on the central square and Biarritz is so small that getting around to the popular spots by the water was a pleasant 10 minute walk. Friendly host and the hotel has a cosy family feel to it. The entrance lobby doubles as their family living room which was definitely unique and guarantees you a greeting every time you walk in!
The location is wonderful, easy to find, near the city center and the ocean. The facilities are great, the bed is comfortable, the room is quite small but compact, very clean, reminds me of Japan hotel. The concierges are wonderful, very friendly and easy going. If I plan on my next trip to Biarritz, will choice the same hotel.
When we arrived at the hotel we could not believe how great location was: Beachfront, 1-minute walk to the shopping street of Biarritz and 5-min to the Port Vieux restaurants.
This hotel is just phenomenal and we will repeat our stay 100%.
Sea view 5 stars hotel, well done, all perfect and with style. We loved the upgrade to the sea view room for our one night stay. Great hotel, old school atmosphere in a modern way
This hotel is on a great location on a pedestrian avenue close to the small beach in town. The rooms are clean and quiet and walking distance to all the major attractions.
The hotel is in a good location, close to the shops, beach, and the Biarritz aquarium.
The breakfast is quite ok, not too many options for my liking but Overwall is ok.
The location is fantastic, walkable near the beach. The property is very well maintained, a real boutique hotel. Staff is excellent. certainly a place I'll revisit
Truly a boutique hotel situated in picturesque grounds in a very quiet residential area with excellent service, superb facilities and the grandeur of days gone by.
so cute and stylish, friendly staff, restaurant in the hotel, relaxing patio area to hang out in and have coffee. I loved this hotel and wished I stayed longer!
Hotel is clean, room has air conditioning, excellent shower. Very comfortable stay here. Location is very central too. Would recommend for a stay in Biarritz.
